From Fashion Ad To Protest Art Class
What happens when we turn the purpose of a fashion advertising image into a more deep and meaningful message?
During the class we will explore the infinite possibilities in doodling over a magazine page using eye catchy decorations, but we will not stop at it. The idea is to give to the picture a new message and switching it into a fun, humorous, feminist or more personal protest message.
I will lead the workshop offering guidance and knowledge of my processes and techniques for manipulating images.
Along with marker pens, I will show you how to decorate with unusual materials as tape and stickers, to experience a new way to “paint” with paper.
Important Notes
All materials are provided, but you can bring your own fashion magazine if you want.

¿Qué sucede cuando convertimos el propósito de una imagen publicitaria de moda en un mensaje más profundo y significativo?
Durante la clase exploraremos las infinitas posibilidades de garabatear sobre la página de una revista usando decoraciones llamativas, pero no nos detendremos ahí. La idea es darle a la imagen un mensaje nuevo y convertirla en un mensaje divertido, humorístico, feminista o de protesta más personal.
Lideraré el taller ofreciendo orientación y conocimiento de mis procesos y técnicas de manipulación de imágenes.
Además de los rotuladores, te mostraré cómo decorar con materiales inusuales como cinta adhesiva y pegatinas, para que experimentes una nueva forma de “pintar” con papel. Se proporcionan todos los materiales, pero puedes traer tu propia revista de moda si lo deseas.
